B has now been savaged by an Ostrich
in the name of Media Stardom.

He can add this to the rhea, as yet another large bird that has tried to eat him.

He also nearly got trampled by a rhino.

B is much excited by the whole thing and has gone back again today in the name of giving the elephants their turn at trying to kill him.

It is all, needless to say, Phil Manning's fault.

heh! R gets attacked by nature all the time, maybe it's the fate of all men who are partners to fantastically smart, funny, charismatic, beautiful women!

Contemplating the possibility this is all some kind of cosmic balancing effect

Here's hoping B never feels the slightest urge to become a missionary on the plains of Timbuctoo.

He's not mentioned Timbuctoo yet - Patagonia, however, beckons...

*sigh*

LOL! All good for his CV *g*.

Is it likely to end up on TV? *g*

It is likely to end up on TV yes. Sometime next year I believe. There will, no doubt, be lots of excited posts nearer the time.

Though if it's anything like the dino-mummy they will be excited posts going "we hear a rumour it might be shown in Missouri sometime next week.." followed by "Ooops! it was shown on Channel 4 last night, sorry guys!"

LOL, very impressive!

Good work B.

All Derren Naish, over at Tetrapod Zoology, can boast about at present is being pecked by a (admittedly rare) duck at Bristol Zoo.

Looking forward to the documentary.

I hope it will be OK. There seems to be some enthusiasm for "amusing" set pieces so I'm hoping it won't all end up too jokey...
