Paper Accepted: Declarative Abstractions for Agent Based Hybrid Control Systems
Which means I shall be going to toronto in May and is the first "proper" publication (i.e. where there was a chance we might get rejected) to come out of my current project - so I'm pleased about that too. It's for a workshop on Declarative Agent Languages and Technologies (DALT).

It's about designing a clear (declarative) abstraction layer to communicate between satellite control systems and our agent-based decision making system which I'm sure enlightens you all greatly.

Sounds to me like you're still building Skynet!

*iz scared*

We will need Skynet when B brings the dinosaurs back to life.

*backs away slowly*

If B's bringing the dinos back to life, can I put in a request for Stephen and Ryan to look after me? I can also help them with spelling and grammar and make them nice cups of tea.

Judging by your own oeuvre, I get the impression that Stephen and Ryan have no problem with spelling or punctuation and are more than adequately supplied with tea.

One can never have too much tea.

Proper standards must be maintained at all time.

I only understood about one word in three of that, but yay for you anyway! *g*

Thanks! Every so often I take a crack at a comprehensible description of what I do, but it always seems to come out as gibberish...
reggietatereggietate on March 10th, 2010 01:00 pm (UTC)
I'd congratulate you if I had any idea what you're talking about :-) But congrats anyway!

The important point is that I'm not building Skynet, whatever Fred says. Largely, I have to admit, because no one is prepared to let me anywhere near a real satellite... but still.

Between this and bigtitch's post yesterday about Skynet, methinks it might be time to build that bunker...
louisedennis: agentslouisedennis on March 10th, 2010 04:37 pm (UTC)
Probably not a good idea to tell me about the bunker though, otherwise I'll program Skynet to find it.

I have no idea what you are talking about but I am so excited for you!! :D

Yay for a publication and for a trip to Toronto!

And of course you're building Skynet -- you said we could be on the front row for the unveiling *g*.
louisedennis: agentslouisedennis on March 11th, 2010 03:02 pm (UTC)
It's nice to know some of you will be there - unlike Munchkin who will, of course, be in her bunker...

Congratulations on the publication, even if I have no idea what you're talking about.
