Photo of the Lunar Eclipse
I didn't see the lunar exclipse (clouds, trees) but this stunning image is today's NASA photo of the day taken from part of Greece with the improbable name of "The Planet of the Goats".

It is isn't it. Apparently there were only about 10 minutes when the storm clouds parted enough for the moon to be seen!

I do have to laugh at how the eclipse has been upstaged by lightning, but that pic is definitely gorgeous.

I did have to hunt for the moon when I first saw it and I think the lightening is so impressive because it's on a long exposure (*waves hands to indicate ignorance of photography*).

I had to look for it too! But that was fine, because I love lightning. *g*
